... set to be torn down. live in lake worth, brian entin, wptv news channel five new at 5:30... florida atlantic university's new president is speaking out in his second week on the job. john kelly--who came here from clemson university-- says he is eager to improve graduation rates and find more money for student scholarships. the university received a lot of national attention in the last 18 months...most notably over questions of academic discretion and a failed push to name the stadium after a private prison company. kelly says such issues will arise on a large campus - and that communication is key. "we don't want it to be a long process where it takes forever to get anything done. you can have a series of approvals to make sure what you think is right is actually right as you move forward." kelly is f-a-u's seventh president.for 17 years he was a vice- president at clemson university in south carolina. now to a developing story out ...
